Online referral for support in Hartlepool

Accessing support at LilyAnne’s Wellbeing is simple, inclusive, and designed to remove barriers. We operate an open referral system, meaning individuals can self-refer or be referred by a professional, family member, or community organisation. No formal diagnosis or GP letter is required.

Once a referral is received, it is acknowledged within 24 hours. Our team makes direct contact to arrange an initial conversation and ensure the individual feels supported from the outset. A first appointment is offered within one week, reflecting our commitment to providing timely help in contrast to long waiting lists elsewhere.

❓What happens during the first appointment?

We carry out a confidential needs assessment, exploring the person’s mental health challenges, personal goals, and any neurodivergent or sensory needs. Together, we agree a tailored support plan which may include:

  • One-to-one counselling sessions

  • Peer support groups

  • Access to wellbeing activities

  • Signposting to partner services, if appropriate

Support is ongoing and flexible, with no arbitrary cut-off, ensuring people receive help for as long as they need it. This approach reduces the risk of people falling through gaps, a key factor in suicide prevention and long-term mental health recovery.

❓ Who are LilyAnne's Services for?

✅ Our services are for anyone aged 16+ living in Hartlepool and nearby areas. We welcome anyone who may be:

  • Struggling with their mental health (e.g. anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, suicidal thoughts)

  • Feeling lonely, isolated, or in need of connection

  • Unsure where to turn for help and looking for a safe, accessible space

❓ Do I need a referral?

🚫 No. You can walk in to our hub on York Road or contact us directly by phone or online referral.

❓ Who might not be suitable?

👶 Our services are not for children or young people under 16 — but we can point you to youth-specific support like CAMHS or The Haven.

If you need urgent medical or psychiatric support, please call 999 or use NHS crisis services. Check out our suitability
